Well... here I am, I have finally decided to blog. I lost the battle, although I don't think there was ever one in the first place, I knew this day would come.
As an advertising student... an Art Director and Creative director aspirant, facebook, twitter, linkedin, blackberry messenger, direct email and blogging are definitely tools as mandatory as the Creative Suite... Exposing yourself, letting your face be recognized and grasping every opportunity to let any possible agency employer see your face and work are everyday-assignments; and as I see it, part of the instincts of us, creative animals, hunting for recognition.
I guess I should begin saying something about me, right?
I'm a Galician-Venezuelan... as I like to describe myself, born and raise in the conflictual country but in the arms of my Spaniard mom, dad and entire family...
I'm 1st generation there and I still don't know if I say that proudly or just indifferent... I think proudly is the best description (yes, a little harsh on the beautiful country that watched me and my friends grow).
I just moved to the U.S. (Miami) 7 months ago (but who's counting :) ), as a resident (thanks to my citizen dad) right after completing my bachelor in Mass Communications to start a Master degree program with FIU and Miami Ad School in "Global strategic communications" (I flinch every time at the words) and Art Direction (always my dream, leaving me light-headed every time someone relates the term, the title to my name).
This is it for now... I have a lot to write about, but enough about me, I have work to do and I'm still hooked on a guilty pleasure... an audiobook that -to be honest- I'm a little ashamed to mention here he he :)
